WCBA Meeting Wrap-Up & Lake Piru Draw
Another Wednesday meeting in the books, and we’ve got a few things to cover!
First off, congratulations to The Stick & OH Ivie for taking the win at our Perris tournament! They picked up their money and their plaque, so there’s officially one less piece of hardware floating around the clubhouse. 😂🏆
🎣 PIRU DRAW
Here’s how we’re lined up for the upcoming Piru tournament:
1. Chris Graciano — Chris Bonilla
2. Dean Leslie — Joe Nava
3. Dr. Randy Estrada — Dan “Pops” Colgan
4. Eddie Roblero — Samson Sly-hoar
5. Frank Schwamborn — Thomas Riley
6. Gil Bowman — Miguel Lizarraga
7. Ed Cazares — John Diaz
8. Dave Mendez — Sherman Wray
🚤 BOATERS WITHOUT CO-ANGLERS
9. Rory Parker
10. Albert Medina
11. Gerald Sowers
And there’s a little history on the line at Piru…
If Dean wins the next tournament, it’ll be a THREE-PEAT — the first three-tournament winning streak in WCBA history. 🏆🏆🏆
So yeah, Dean’s got a little something to shoot for. Everybody else has a little something to stop. 😂
Good luck to everybody heading out to Piru! 🎣
🗳️ 2027 SPRING 2 DAY TOURNAMENT — HAVASU OR NACIMIENTO?
We also started talking about next year’s two-day March tournament.
The current plan has Lake Havasu, but we’d like to consider Lake Nacimiento as an alternative.
The reason we’re bringing this up is simple: attendance. Before we lock in a two-day tournament that requires a significant commitment from everyone, we want to make sure we’re choosing a location that works for the club as a whole.
Lake Nacimiento looks like a pretty damn good option, too. Check it out:
Nothing is being decided yet.
We want this to be a communal club vote, so everybody gets a say.
Lake Havasu or Lake Nacimiento?
We’ll get the information together, hear what everyone thinks, and put it to a vote before making the final decision.
🎣 AND WE WANT YOUR 2027 LAKE SUGGESTIONS!
We’re also starting to build out the rest of the 2027 tournament schedule, so now’s the time to throw some ideas out there.
Got a lake you’d like WCBA to fish?
Throw your suggestions into Team Reach.
Let’s hear them — good ideas, bad ideas, weird ideas, lakes we’ve never fished, lakes you think would be a complete shitshow… 😂
The more input we get from the club, the better we can build the 2027 schedule.
That’s what the club is about — everybody gets a voice. 🤝
See everyone at the next one!
